Evanescence was originally formed by Ben Moody and Amy Lee, who ironically met a church camp.  Ben he just been sitting around watching an exciting baskeball game, when his attention was jolted by the sound of a piano playing the intro to Meatloaf's "I Would Do Anything For Love".  As he looked over to the stage he saw where the music was coming from.  He spotted a girl effortlessly playing the tune on the stage.  After awhile Ben finally made his way over to her and introduced himself and she to him.  Amy then began impressing Ben even more with her talent not only on the piano but with her amazingly beautiful and powerful voice.  He then convinces Amy to never work with anyone again.  And that is how the Evanescence we all know and love was born over 13 years ago. 

 

Now they are a grammy award winning band.  Who's debut album Fallen went multi-platinum and sold over 4 million copies worldwide.
